This is my cat, Jules. He has had a very busy morning since we had another dog come over to visit Cricket today.
It was very funny, two dogs running all over the place, giving a wide berth to Jules, who just sat in the middle of the floor and growled. The dogs didn't run away in fear or anything, just avoided him.

Horray for Chicago

According to Forbes magazine, Chicago is ranked the 6th drunkest city in the country! Good work everyone, glad to know I'm not the only one who takes drinking seriously.

However, I think we can do better! Milwaukee is number 1, and Minneapolis-St. Paul is number 2. Columbus and Boston are 3 & 4, with Austin coming in at #5. I think the first two will be hard to take, but 3-4? Come on, there is nothing in Ohio that we can not do better in Illinois, the Kennedy's haven't lived in Boston for years, and a city full of computer geeks and slackers!?! Let's go Chicago, it's almost lunch on a Friday so let's start making our move now! Go ahead, order a drink for lunch, if we all do it, no one will notice.

Computer Desktop

I was sitting in Sip (see June 12th) this morning reading the paper, when I noticed that everyone around me was using a lap top, since Sip provides free Wi-Fi. I then noticed that the girl at the table in front of me had something like 40 icons on her desktop. Intrigued, I started checking out the other desktops around me that I could see. Every on seemed to have a lot of icons on their desktop.

Now why is that? I have 5, including the recycle bin and Mozilla short cut, and then only 3 other folders. What inspires people to fill up their desktop with all those icons? Why do I keep mine to a minimum? Is it indicative of some underlying psychological factors?

What do inTouch Weekly, Simon Cowell, and I have in common?

Not much! However, I could not help but notice that inTouch carried pictures of Simon having some dust up with his girlfriend. The reason I noticed at all was that the shots were taken in Heathrow's Terminal 4, right next to the Starbucks they have there. I've had coffee there numerous times (well ok 3 times), but no one has ever taken a picture of me!

Just thinking about it and I raced back to look at all my UK vacation pics....ahh good times.
